Who We Are
We're a group of sophmores at Mayo High School in Rochester, Minnesota.
All of us are in Mrs. Lyke's American Literature and Composition Honors class.

Why We're here
On March 6, 2020, the first diagnosis of Covid-19 occured in Minnesota. Nine days later, Governer Walz annonced that schools would temporarily close as early as March 18, 2020. During our two day transition (March 16-17, 2020), some students in Lyke's sophomore courses proposed that one good way to pass the time in isolation, ensuring that no brains would turn to mush, could be to spend some of the time writing--both during the two week closure and our our one week spring break, along with during any potential distance learning that may follow.
But why stop at some optional journal prompts? When your teacher is a bit extra, that seems too basic. Instead, we share our writing. We break the isolation.
